LiSA: Another Great Day in Manila 2015 ( I MET LiSA!!!)

(This is from my old blog which I have already deleted. Now I am reposting it here because concert experiences are meant to be shared!)

Hello everyone! Let me share to you my personal experience from LiSA's concert: Another Great Day in Manila.

Before that, I would have to share a little story on how I got to know this cool and adorable Japanese singer. It all started when I got to watch Angel Beats! I was pretty amazed by Yui whenever she sings. Ichiban no takaramono, crow song and little braver are my favorites. However, I haven't made a deeper research regarding the voice behind Yui's singing voice but there's no doubt that I had already fell in love with her music. It was then I watched Fate/Zero. Oath sign was just so fantastic! That's when I got so hooked with LiSA. I kept listening to her songs from then on. Yup, I can listen to her songs for a whole day. Haha! Then Sword Art Online came. Another song from LiSA became an instant favorite! And then—the rest is history. :)

Alright! So much for the introduction, maybe?

Ready?

Let's go!

It all started with this photo posted by LiSA on her twitter account.

A few weeks before this big announcement (I think it was right after her concert at Mexico and Boston), I was eagerly wishing that she comes to Philippines. I always try to keep updated with her tweets hoping that one day she'll be announcing something about coming to our country even if I think it's too impossible to happen. I was even searching for her Philippine fan club but can't find any. So I thought that I was the only one here in the country who knows her?
I remember I replied to one of LiSA's tweets: "Please come to the Philippines!" It's not like I was hoping that she would really come. Hehe. But who knows, right?

But you know what? A week after my hopeless tweet, God granted my wish! My heart burst out of happiness when I saw this post of LiSA along with her Singapore concert poster.

I wasn't able to sleep soon upon knowing this good news! Yes, it sounds funny but seriously, I was only able to sleep at around five in the morning I think. See? I am so excited that I can't even sleep! I also kept thinking how would I get to Manila especially to the concert venue. I live in a province and knew nothing about the streets in Manila. Too scared to travel alone too. But thank God I got a friend who's currently working in Manila! Sparks of hope appeared right before my eyes! So I begged for her presence to be with me on the said date of the concert. It was literally a test of friendship! LOL! Kidding!

And so here it is, two vip tickets for LiSA's concert. I bought it after watching The Last: Naruto the movie in SM Baguio. :)

While the date gets nearer, I kept reading the comments of other people who had already bought their tickets too which made me more excited. Like wow! All the LiSAkko will be gathering at one place on that day! I couldn't be more happier!

LiSA's mini concert took place at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura in Taguig City last June 27,2015 on Saturday night. My friend and I thought we couldn't make it in time because of the tremendous traffic but thank God we arrived at the mall 30 minutes before the concert started. Well, we were noobs around the mall so it took us around 15 minutes to get to Samsung Hall. Haha!

Entering Samsung Hall, the very first thing I looked for is the merchandise booth. I noticed too that the lobby was already clean and very peaceful. People were already on their seats! Lol! Going back, so I looked at the merchandise booth and saw the banner with each of the merchandise crossed out with masking tapes with 'SOLD OUT' written on it. My heart really broke! :(

Anyway, I have no choice but to accept the fact that I won't be able to buy the shirt and pins so I proceeded to the redemption booth to claim my prize!

Yup, I am one of the five winners for LiSA's limited photo in Manila. The staffs on the table really went 'whoooaaaa' when they found out that I am one of the luckiest fan to own such precious photo. One of the staffs brought out four polaroids with the photos facing down (the other one was already claimed when I arrived so there were only 4 left). I didn't know my friend took a photo while I was choosing my prize. Hehe! (The staffs were very kind too ^_^)

Here are the other limited photos for the early bird giveaway. The first photo on the left looks so adorable!

I randomly picked and this is what I got. So cute!Although most of her face is covered! Lol! One of the staffs even said what if one day they'll see this photo being sold on eBay. Lol. Not gonna happen! I would NEVER do that! This photo is so special for me. It's my very first polaroid and the photo in it is LiSA! Along with her autograph! This is also my very first time of winning from a giveaway! Wohoooo! They also took a photo of us with the prize. (I wonder where they posted it though.)

Then we proceeded to the door leading to the lower ground and was assisted to our seats which was a bit at the back. Well, what would we expect for arriving at an exact time? I heard other fans arrived just as the mall opened (If only I live in Manila I could've been there by dawn! Haha!) The house was already almost full and there were just very very few seats unoccupied.

LiSA's songs were also playing while waiting for the program to start. On the stage, there was a small table and there I immediately saw Momoco, LiSA's pink and fluffy frog friend. She brings Momoco with her always.

I can really feel that everyone is too excited to see LiSA. They held their glow sticks while patiently waiting for the concert to begin. (We didn't brought glow sticks..If only I knew it was allowed..) We waited a little more until the lights dimmed and the host came out. She introduced herself and after some reminders she asked us to shout for LiSA's name signaling the start of the most awaited concert for all LiSAkko. We shouted her name with our hearts filled with anticipation and excitement.

Without any delay, the person we've been waiting for came out and we stood from our seats. The whole crowd roared when we saw her on the stage. She was wearing her trademark pink and black skirt with black army boots.

The first song to play was Crossing Field, the opening song from Sword Art Online. It really did put our energies at its maximum. We sang along and threw our hands in the air while LiSA sang. I really get pumped up whenever LiSA says, "Let's go!" in between the song while she rocks the stage effortlessly . Haha!

I was also surprised by the energy of the crowd. It really felt like LiSA's concerts in Japan I see on youtube! Lol!

The next song she sang was from the anime Fate/Zero, Oath Sign. Wow, I can't explain anymore what I'm feeling. She really sang the songs perfectly or even better than the studio recorded ones!

After that, LiSA introduced herself and her guitarist Co-K. She spoke in English and a little in Filipino. We kept chanting her name and sometimes Co-K too.

The first part of her concert also included songs such as Ichiban no Takaramono from Angel Beats!, Bright Flight and Shirushi from Sword Art Online.

The next part was the question and answer portion where we were able to rest on our seats while LiSA picked some questions from a box filled with questions written by some lucky fans.

She said, she was really nervous that Filipinos might not know her but what she was witnessing that night blew her worries away. She really was surprised that many knew about her in the Philippines and she was so happy.

There was this funny thing while she was answering the first question. She was still speaking in Japanese when half of the crowd reacted. LiSA was surprised that they understood what she was saying.

"You all Japanese?" She asked us. Lol. Well, don't count me in. I can only understand very little Japanese.

She cried at a song she sang during her Girls Dead Monster Final Operation concert because she knew that it was her last time to sing that song together with Girls Dead Monster group.

Her favorite foods in the Philippines are BANANA! (She said it excitedly while counting her fingers. lol), MANGO!, pork and halo-halo! She also said she loves the rice cooked inside of a bamboo. We also kept chanting BA-NA-NA by the way. HAHA!

LiSA would also prefer to date a man like Woody from Toy Story. She loves Toy Story as well.

Her most favorite song she had sung for an anime was Rally Go Round, the opening song for Nisekoi Season 2. She said she love the characters of the series but when it comes to the story, her favorite is Fate/Zero and her favorite character is Rider.

Lastly, what inspired her to sing was Avril Lavigne. She said Avril was both cool and cute. And she wanted to be just like her. That's when she started singing.

After the Q&A portion, the concert proceeded to its second half. She sang No More Time Machine, Electrolyrical, Rally Go Round (opening song from Nisekoi season 2) and Rising Hope (opening song from Mahouka Kokkou no Rettousei). LiSA also taught us the dance steps from Electrolyrical. It was indeed cute and fun! Haha! I also saw Co-K dance along and merrily ran around the stage while LiSA was singing this song.

LiSA went down the stage to get really closer to the fans as she sings. Lucky people! Haha!

Wrapping up the concert with her last song Rising Hope, LiSA bid farewell to her Filipino fans. Surprisingly, the Filipino Lissakos didn't let her concert end that easily. The crowd chanted "Encore", never stopping until our voices reached LiSA's heart. She came out again and thanked us for requesting an encore. She called Co-K on the stage too and she sang the ever-famous song from Angel Beats, Crow Song(accoustic version). All of us sang along with her with all our hearts and savoured her very last song for that night.

At the end of the concert she requested her fans to have a group picture with her.

She also received a bouquet and a complete set of minions of McDonalds while she was giving her thanks to her fans. Her voice when she peeked on the yellow box was still very vivid in my head. She said, "Waaaaaaaaa!!! Many Minions!!!" Aaah! She's just so adorable!
One of her big announcements was her promise of returning to Manila—with her band! People got really excited upon hearing the good news. So this is clear that LiSA will be coming back! We just just don't know exactly when but we will definitely wait for them! Yipee!!!
"Sa uulitin!!!" and "Mahal ko ang Manila!!!", those are some of the Filipino words she said. :)
She left the stage and we waited for a few minutes before the distribution of posters—with LiSA herself! Yup, you read it right! I thought we could never get a chance to get close to her as the organizers of the event told me weeks ago before the concert that we can't get near her and there would be a booth outside where we can place our gifts for her. (When I was claiming my prize at the redemption booth, I asked ate (one of the staffs), regarding the gifts and she said that I can give it to her personally during the receiving of posters. WOW! I was SUPER happy!!! She'll give the posters herself! <3
Going back to the story(lol so much filler! hehe!), I was like the 15th in line for the poster distribution while my friend was next to me. The staff chose to start at the back seats! Hehe! Lucky!!! And so the second-most awaited part of the event began. I was both excited and nervous while it started. I tried peeking infront of me and there I saw LiSA, happily giving her posters! Aaaah!!! While I get nearer and nearer, I was trying to calm myself. Haha!
When it was my turn, I shyly lifted my paper bag, placed it on the table and looked at LiSA. I saw her face was a bit surprised. I can't really remember what exactly happened next because I was staring at her eyes! Haha! She's incredibly beautiful and tall(because I'm small! lol!) She gave me her poster and as I was moving my feet to leave, I took a final glance at her and I saw her peeked at the paper bag I gave. She looked at me and spoke, "Handmade?" (Complete silence for two seconds) "Yes." I smiled at her. Bwahaha! Yes, yes was the only word that was courageously said by my mouth. She said thank you and I smiled at her and left. See? I'm such a dork when it comes to meeting big people. My tongue gets tied and my brain stops functioning normally. I am just like a hollow with my thoughts in the clouds!
I was super happy making my way out of the door when I was asked for an interview by Hero TV. (I won't give details about this because I surely am lame with my answers! Haha!)
I heard she took her one last goodbye to her fans after giving all the posters! If only I knew about this! I would've stayed there at the lobby longer! Haha!

Here's a little peek of my letter for LiSA! Drew this an hour before I took my leave to Manila! Haha! Super rush just like the flash!

BANANA! Haha! Here's my handmade minion gift for LiSA! Did it for almost one week. Minion pattern by Stephanie of allaboutami. Check out her other creations! I just altered the mouth and eyes since I don't have any felt cloth available. The whole minion was purely crocheted except for the jumper button. :) It's 99.9% handmade!

The LiSA Launcher thingy over here is my original creation though. :)
I really wanted to make this along with the minion to make it more personalized and LiSAFiED! <3

LiSA posted photos of her gifts from her Filipino fans a few hours after her concert. I was really super genuinely happy to see mine over there. *dies from happiness*
I was about to sleep when I saw this photo and I even woke up my friend just to show LiSA's tweet. Haha!

She also took a photo of the letters she received that night.
My letter is also on this photo but I won't tell which. :)

Lastly, a photo of her banner with lots of messages from her fans! I wish I was able to write there too!

Her outfit during her Manila concert. See what's written on her shirt? :)
Anyway, she looks like a doll here! :)
Overall, the concert was SUPER FUN! For me, it was worth it. I would've probably regretted it so much if I hadn't attended LiSA's very first concert in the Philippines.

Thank you so much to the organizers for letting her have her concert here in our country! Thank you for letting us experience an amazing concert from LiSA even without leaving our homeland. We hope to see her again!

Next time, I will be bringing glow sticks too! HAHA! Rawr!

I do have some suggestions though...

I wish next time they would be implementing seat numbers. It kind of feel like a bit unfair for those who bought their tickets really early but got to seat at the end rows instead. Hehe! I hope they make it like her concert in Singapore where there is already an assigned seating number on the ticket. That would really put the buyer's mind at ease and not getting paranoid if he/she would get a really good seat during the concert. Plus, you don't have to camp at the venue anymore. :)

I also wish they sell more merchandise! More! More! Merchandise! Hahaha! (suggested by one who got none of the merchandise because it was already sold out) :))

I know that prohibition on taking photos, videos and audio recording was strictly implied during the concert as it is the rule for every Japanese concert but I hope someday there would come a time that fans would be given the chance to take a photo with their idol. Haha! Let's all pray for this!

Let me end this post telling why I wrote this up almost very detailed. I want you to know that this isn't like the usual concert you've been thinking of. Knowing LiSA, she's really energetic while she perform on the stage and she sings her songs from her heart. She'll make sure everyone is having fun at her concert and you'll be really surprised at how good she sings live! There's no doubt that she's one of the rising stars in Japan and she deserves it!

You can check out more and better shots from the concert on Japan Music Festival's Facebook page! :) Check it out HERE!

Here's a video of LiSA's interview on a local channel before her Manila concert.

That's it for today! Thanks for reading!
